New role brings digital commerce transformation expertise, reinforces Mirakl’s investment in empowering eCommerce leaders across Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific and globally

For Mirakl’s new General Manager of APAC, the role is a homecoming.

“There were very few things that could have convinced me to leave Australia. Mirakl might have been the only one,” said Tzipi Avioz. Over the past five years, Avioz has served as Mirakl’s Executive Vice President of Customer Success, partnering closely with businesses across the globe – including the likes of Best Buy Canada, Changi Airport, J. Crew, Kohl’s, and Siam Makro Thailand – to accelerate their marketplace and dropship businesses.

Avioz first worked with Mirakl more than a decade ago as a digital leader at Woolworths Australia, and has since maintained deep roots in the commerce and tech communities in Australia and New Zealand, including roles as a board member of NORA Network and the Australia-based B2B eCommerce Association. Now, she’s returning to Sydney to oversee Mirakl’s business in ANZ and across the Asia Pacific region, bringing her deep expertise in the Mirakl suite of solutions for accelerating profitable, sustainable eCommerce growth.

“My long-held passion for eCommerce transformation reached a new level when I launched my first marketplace working with Mirakl, as more than 400 brands have done since,” Avioz shared. “I was so convinced by the value that Mirakl offers that years later, I joined the company to support hundreds of other companies in the design, implementation and growth of their digital businesses. Now, it’s time for our renewed investment in APAC, with not only the world’s best marketplaces and dropship technology but the entire Mirakl suite of solutions to every business that wants to be an eCommerce leader.”

In her new role, Avioz will bring decades of experience leading technology delivery initiatives, digital commerce and the execution of large-scale digital transformation programs. In addition to her leadership in customer success, she will continue her role as Mirakl’s head of global delivery to help enterprises across Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific successfully scale their marketplace and dropship businesses.

“We’ve witnessed tremendous growth of our customers expanding their e-commerce business and marketplaces have been a major driver behind that acceleration. Mirakl is the global leader in this space, and we’re excited about expanding our partnership to other geographies to support our mutual customers as they continue their global omnichannel expansion” said Mark O’Leary, SVP and CMO of SPS Commerce. “Having worked with Tzipi as Mirakl’s global delivery executive, we feel the timing aligns well for this expansion as she assumes the additional role as GM for Mirakl’s Asia Pacific business with her move back to Sydney this month, where we’ve operated since 2011.”

This comes at an exciting – and challenging – time for eCommerce businesses across ANZ and Asia Pacific. Globally, marketplace and dropship sales grew at six times the rate of overall eCommerce last year, representing an incredible opportunity for enterprises ready to invest in platform models. As retailers in Australia and globally face a retail recession, following months of stubborn inflation, the imperative to create scalable, efficient and profitable eCommerce is stronger than ever.

“No company should be limited by the technology that it chooses to build its eCommerce or platform business. To thrive in the platform economy, you need secure technology and expertise that evolves with the needs of your business and offers true scale, flexibility, and efficiency,” said Philippe Corrot, co-founder and CEO, Mirakl. “Whether you’re launching a new unowned inventory strategy or trying to overcome barriers to scale with your current marketplace or dropship technology, Tzipi's expertise in digital transformation and global delivery offers the key to success for enterprises across ANZ and APAC.”
